At Note My Vote ("NMV") we are committed to safeguarding and maintaining the privacy of our members. Your safe use and the security of your personal information are of paramount importance to us. We therefore encourage all NMV users to consider the conditions of use below. NMV will never disclose your personal information to a third party without your prior consent. On registration you will provide NMV with personal details such as your name, address and email (and other optional fields at your discretion) which will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Your personal information will be stored on a dedicated server based in the United Kingdom.

Note My Vote’s privacy policy conditions of use

NMV will only use data supplied by you pursuant to the following conditions of use.

1.Your data will not be passed (rent or sold) onto any third parties which could identify you.

2.Your data may be passed onto carefully selected third parties for research/analysis purposes who work alongside NMV in the interests of democracy.

3. Results of NMV polls will be published on the NMV website.
a.Results will always be in the same numerical format, for example 55% of NMV voters said "yes".
b.These results will not lead to the disclosure of any of your personal information.

4.You will not receive communications from third parties resulting from your registration with Note My Vote

5.We encourage you to choose a unique password and safeguard your login information.
a.It is your responsibility to ensure the confidentiality of your password and login information.
b.You must ensure that you have logged out of your account once your session has ended, especially if you are using a shared computer.
c.Under these conditions of use, you agree to indemnify NMV against all activities that occur in your account.

6.In some circumstances NMV may be lawfully required to divulge personal information by, for example, a court order made by a court of England and Wales, or in the furtherance of a UK government agency investigation.
a.We reserve the right at our discretion, and with your agreement, to disclose your personal information which is required by a UK government agency official or by a court acting within proceedings in England and Wales.
b.With this in mind, NMV will always comply with its legal obligations under the Data Protection Act 1988 regarding disclosure of personal information.

7.NMV uses cookies which enables our website to recognise your personal information which you voluntarily provided us. We may use this information to custom make web pages for you. If you would not like NMV to use your cookies then you can change this in your web browser’s settings.

8.This privacy policy only applies to information protected by NMV and not to external links which may be present on the NMV website

9.The NMV policy statement and conditions of use will be reviewed from time to time so please keep checking its content.
a.Notable changes to the statement and conditions of use will be published on the homepage of the NMV website or they may be sent to you via email.
